Service users typically arrive at the Day Centre between 10am and 11:30am. We have a minibus that collects those who have difficulty getting to the centre.

On arrival you will be greeted by a volunteer or staff member, offered tea or coffee, have a chance to sit and get to know others who attend the centre, as well as music, and puzzles to keep you active.

At 12.15pm we serve a two course lunch, which is freshly cooked on the premises by our chef.

The balanced, nutritious meal is changed weekly on a four week rotation. Fresh vegetables are provided and menus ensure adequate nutritional values are maintained. Special dietary needs as a result of medical or cultural reasons can be catered for.

After lunch there is some form of stimulating entertainment or activity. We have musical entertainers, quizzes, bingo and more. When the activities are finished volunteers serve tea and biscuits before people start to leave.

The daily charge of £8 includes lunch and refreshments. There is a charge of £4 for a return journey on the Alfriston minibus if transport is required.

There are also regular outings. Seaside day trips during the summer months and a day trip on the river with a fish and chip lunch or a cream tea.

We also organise outings to the theatre, pantomines and Ice shows.

These provide an excellent opportunity for those who perhaps would be unable to enjoy a day out.
